CJ Elleby

PULLMAN - Washington State Cougar sophomore forward CJ Elleby has been named Pac-12 Player of the week after his performances last week helped lead the Cougars to victories over both Oregon and Oregon State.

Elleby scored a combined 47 points and had 24 total rebounds in the two victories, that included an upset win over top-10 foe Oregon Ducks. Elleby scored 25 and pulled down a career high 14 rebounds in the upset, the first win over a top-10 team for the Cougars since 2007.

He followed that up with another 22 point performance against the Beavers of Oregon State in front of a raucous Beasley Coliseum crowd of over 10,000 who were on hand for the jersey retirement of Klay Thompson.

On the season, Elleby is averaging 18.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, both team highs. He is the first Cougar to be named for the award since Robert Franks last season.
