Channa Hart

LEWISTON - Channa Hart of LC State Volleyball became the third Warrior in program history to earn the distinction of being voted CoSIDA Academic All-District, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday. She is the first since Aubrey King in 2018 to earn the honor.

“I’m so happy for Channa,” Head Coach Shaun Pohlman said. “Her endless positive energy makes an impact in everything she does in the classroom, on the court, in the community, and for her peers/constituents. We are all lucky to call Channa a Warrior.”

Hart has maintained a 4.0 grade point average as a Psychology major with a minor in Graphic Communications. She is an active member of LC’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was the only Warrior to start all 31 matches. Hart led LC State in attack percentage (.348) and averaged 1.40 kills per set for a total of 139. The Menifee, Calif., native was third on the team in blocks with 62 (54 assists and eight solo). She was voted Second-Team All-Cascade Conference and was named Academic All-Cascade Conference.

To be nominated for CoSIDA Academic All-District, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.5 grade point average and be a starter or key reserve. Student-Athletes voted First-Team Academic All-District move on to the Academic All-America ballot.

LC State falls under District 4 which includes schools from Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Canada. There are 11 members of the team that all advance to the All-America ballot.
