LEWISTON - On Tuesday, June 8, Lewis-Clark State Women’s Basketball coach Brian Orr announced the signing of Adyson Clabby, a 5-4 point guard out of Ravensdale, WA. The junior college transfer will bring collegiate experience to LC State in the fall.
“We are excited to be adding Adyson to next year’s roster,” Orr said. “She brings experience and leadership which are two things we are trying to replace from last year’s graduation. Adyson has a high basketball IQ and possesses the ability to play with poise and make good decisions under pressure. She has the ability to get to the rim and is a crafty finisher around the rim. We really like her competitive spirit and commitment to winning. She’s going to be a great fit.”
Clabby will join the Warrior women out of Bellevue College in the NWAC where she averaged nine points per game and shot 43.6 percent from the field. The guard finished third in the NWAC in assist/turnover ratio (3.5) and was fifth overall in assists per game (4.3).
The junior helped Bellevue college to the NWAC tournament as a freshman and earned the Academic Excellence Award as a sophomore. She prepped at Tahoma High School where she earned All-North Puget Sound League honors twice. Clabby was also a member of the school’s Honor Roll.
