LEWISTON - The NAIA released the latest top 25 polls for women’s basketball and men’s tennis on Wednesday, and both Lewis-Clark State teams remained in their previous spots. Women’s basketball held tight to number 21, while men’s tennis held serve among the nation’s best at number 25.

The Warrior women hold to the 21st spot in the rankings after collecting three wins in their last four contests. LCSC recently picked up wins against then 18th ranked MSU-Northern (67-60), Providence (74-64) and Montana Tech (76-62). The only loss at home this season came at the hands on then 17th ranked Carroll this past Friday (54-51).

As a team, the Warrior women are currently third in NAIA DI in free throw percentage (.784). Kiara Burlage leads the way for the Warriors and is eighth in field goal percentage (.550) and 15th in free throw percentage (.848). Next for the Warriors is another clash with Providence on Thursday at 5:30 P.M in the LCSC Activity Center.

For the Men's Tennis team, they held serve with the 25th overall ranking despite opening the season 1-3. The Warriors fell to two NCAA DI programs and one DII team before earning their first win of the season this past Sunday. Lewis-Clark State battled to a 6-1 victory over NCAA DIII Whitworth after sweeping every singles match. Next for the Warriors, they will face DIII opponent George Fox on Saturday at 5 P.M. in the LCSC Tennis Center.
