Grace McCormick, LCSC

LEWISTON - Grace McCormick will join a strong core of LC State runners when she begins her journey as a Warrior in the fall. Head Coach Mike Collins announced the signing of the Boise native this week.

"We are excited about having Grace in our program," Collins said. "She comes from one of the most storied high school programs in the state and I'm sure that, not only is she going to help our team with what she can do athletically, but I will pe picking her brain from time to time as to things that they did at Boise High School. Hoping to make myself and my team better through learning from her."

McCormick prepped at Boise Senior High School and holds personal-bests of 2.35 in the 800m, 5:45 in the mile and 21:07 in the 5k. Strong in the classroom as well, she is a member of the National Honor Society and has received the school's Outstanding Individual Scholastic Award and helped the team to the Distinguished Team Scholastic Award. A member of the basketball team, McCormick was voted the team's Most Inspirational last season.

The future Warrior comes from an athletic family. Her mother, Erick Billish-McCormick, and her aunt Kelly both competed as members of the Women's National Water Polo Team.
