Griffen Parsells

LEWISTON - Lewis-Clark State Cross Country Head Coach Mike Collins has recently announced the signing of the latest addition to the 2021 Warrior Men's Cross Country squad in Griffen Parsells. The Queidersbach, Germany native will join LC State this fall as a member of both the cross country and track and field teams.

"We are excited to have Griffen," Collins said. "We will have a very good mix of runners next fall. He has been running at a high level at home and we hope that he can contribute right away to the current and future successes in our cross country and track programs."

Parsells and a two-time league champion as an individual (2019 and 2020) in cross country and holds the Kaiserslautern High School record in the 5k (16:19.00). He has clocked personal-best times of 4:29.94 in the 1600m, 1:58.34 in the 800m and 8:18.00 in the 4x800m relay. He helped his team to two third-place finishes and a second-place finish at the league championships.

He earned multiple athletics achievement awards throughout his career and was named the Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2019. Parsells is a member of the school's Honor Roll and was named the team captain in both track and cross country.
