LEWISTON - Four-straight wins at home over the last two weeks have boosted the Lewis-Clark State Women’s Basketball team to the number 21 spot in the national rankings. The Warriors jumped up four spots from 25th after improving their overall record to 13-5, 5-3 in Frontier Conference play.
Kiara Burlage has had a dominant junior season, leading Lewis-Clark State in scoring (14.4 points per game) and rebounding (7.33 rebounds per game). She is shooting a team-leading 55.8% from the field, and is 14th in NAIA DI in free throw percentage (.844). Peyton Souvenir leads the conference in steals per game (2.5) and total steals (45).
As a team, the Warriors are second in NAIA DI in free throw percentage (78.4%) and second in the Frontier Conference in scoring offense per game (71.1).
Lewis-Clark State hits the road this weekend to take on number 18 MSU-Northern on Friday and Providence on Saturday.
