LEWISTON - Former Lewis-Clark State Warriors Seth Brown and Connor Brogdon are one step closer to playing professional baseball in 2020. Both were named to their respective clubs’ 60-man player pools, and will start training camp on July 1.
Brown made his debut last season with the Oakland Athletics, while Brogdon spent time in Triple-A last season. He has a chance to make his debut with the Philadelphia Phillies this season.
The spot on the list of 60 is similar to attending Major League Spring Training. The active MLB roster will consist of up to 30 players at the start of the season, with the number decreasing to 26 after four weeks. Players must be listed on the 40-man roster in order to be added to the active MLB roster.
