LEWISTON - Former Lewis-Clark State Warrior baseball standout Seth Brown will begin the 2020 Major League Baseball season with the Oakland Athletics after being named to the team’s 30-man roster ahead of Opening Day on July 24. This is the first time Brown has been on a Major League Opening Day roster.

The Athletics will face the Los Angeles Angels at 7:10 p.m. PT on Friday to open the season.

An Avista NAIA World Series Champion with Lewis-Clark State in 2015, Brown made his Major League debut with the Athletics on August 26, 2019. In 75 games with Oakland in 2019, he hit .293 with eight doubles and 13 RBI.

Major league rosters will shrink to 28 players after the first two weeks, then to 26 two weeks after that. Once teams are limited to 26 players, they will be allowed to add a 27th player for doubleheaders.
