SAN FRANCISCO - The 2020-21 NBA season has come to an end for one star before it even had the chance to begin. Former Washington State Cougar and current Golden State Warrior star Klay Thompson has reportedly suffered a season ending Achilles tear, according to NBA reporter Adrian Wojnarowski.
Thompson went down during a workout on Wednesday afternoon, and MRI results came back Thursday morning.
The thirty-year-old 6'6" shooting guard is also coming off a torn ACL which caused him to miss the entire 2019-20 season. Thompson was expected to be back to 100% health by the start of the season.
The devastating news comes less than 24 hours removed from the Golden State Warriors selecting big man James Wiseman out of Memphis.
