LEWISTON – Sparklight has announced a recent $3,500 grant to Opportunities Unlimited, Inc. through the company’s Charitable Giving Fund.
The organization was one of 29 nonprofits across the company’s 24-state footprint that received grants totaling more than $125,000 during the most recent award period, according to a company press release.
According to the company, the Charitable Giving Fund annually awards nearly $250,000 in grants to local nonprofit organizations for education and digital literacy, food insecurity and community development.
OUI will use the grant to purchase equipment and training materials to better support and increase the independence of individuals with emotional, physical and developmental disabilities.
