CLARKSTON – A man was arrested in Clarkston on Saturday after allegedly exposing himself outside of a grocery store.
According to court records, Clarkston Police were dispatched at around 3:30 p.m. to where a man was reportedly urinating in public – outside Ricks Family Foods on 13th Street. Police had reportedly already had several recent contacts with 80-year-old Harley Jackson before being called to the disturbance.
Jackson was found by police on a bench on the west side of the building. The documents say the first arriving officer noticed liquid under the bench and a strong odor of urine.
A review of surveillance video showed Jackson allegedly urinating and exposing himself at the bench outside the store, and easily viewable by the public on Highland Avenue, according to the documents.
The court records in this case say Jackson is a registered sex offender, convicted of sexual assault and lewd conduct with a minor. He has also been previously convicted of indecent/obscene exposure in Nevada. The documents also say that Jackson was convicted of failing to register as a sex offender several times.
Jackson was booked into the Asotin County Jail for felony indecent exposure. An arraignment hearing has been set for December 18.
