COLFAX - On Thursday, May 28 at around 11:45 pm, Whitman County deputies conducted a routine traffic stop for a seatbelt violation in downtown Colfax. After contacting the driver, 19-year-old Immanuel Jackson of Clarkston, it was determined he was driving with a suspended license. Deputies also learned Jackson had an active felony arrest warrant from the Washington State Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration for Failure to Comply.
During the contact with Jackson and his passengers, a mason jar of marijuana was also observed in plain sight inside the vehicle. Jackson and the other two occupants of the vehicle were all under the age of 21.
A search warrant was obtained a short time later for the vehicle to search and seize illegal narcotics, which lead deputies to the discovery of Marijuana, Cocaine, MDMA/Ecstasy, LSD and approximately $745 cash. Deputies also located a loaded firearm in the vehicle during the search.
During the course of the investigation, one of the passengers in the vehicle, 19-year-old Kylie Colvin of Spokane, WA, admitted the narcotics and firearm belonged to her. She also told officers that it was her intent was to sell the narcotics.
Colvin was booked into the Whitman County Jail on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Jackson was booked on the Felony Failure to Comply Warrant and Driving with a Suspended License. The third passenger was released without charges.
