PULLMAN - No one was hurt when a Pullman man allegedly set a fire inside a bathroom at a busy College Hill nightclub early Friday morning.

The alleged arson occurred shortly before 1:00 at Stubblefields.  A man reportedly walked into a bathroom and discovered that the paper towels in the trash can were on fire.  He quickly extinguished the flames and told the bouncers.

Staff used surveillance video to identify Jesus Flores German as the man who was allegedly in the bathroom when the fire started.  Pullman Police responded and found Flores German still inside the nightclub and took him into custody for 1st degree arson.  A Pullman Fire Investigator responded and determined that the blaze was intentionally set.

There were about 300 people inside Stubblefields when the fire broke out.  The nightclub was not evacuated.  Stubblefields is in the Adams Mall which is owned by Washington State University.

Flores German was booked into the Whitman County Jail in Colfax where he was set to make his first court appearance Friday.  He is not a WSU student.
