CALIFORNIA - According to a report from TMZ on Friday evening, former Washington State quarterback Ryan Leaf has been arrested in Southern California on misdemeanor domestic battery charges.
Leaf, 44, was reportedly taken into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility around 2pm Friday afternoon, with bail set at $5,000. According to arrest records, he has a court appearance scheduled for 8am on Wednesday, May 27.
Leaf was arrested back in 2012 when he violated probation by breaking into a home in Montana to steal prescription drugs. Most recently he had been working for ESPN as a college football analyst in 2019. As of Saturday afternoon, ESPN has declined to comment on the situation.
