POMEROY - According to an update from officials on Saturday morning, the Lick Creek Fire has now been 75% contained.  The latest size estimate on the fire is 80,392 acres, growing just over 2,000 acres since Friday's update.

Lightning ignited several fires southwest of Asotin July 7. The Lick Creek Fire and the Dry Gulch Fire burned together on July 8. Crews have been battling the blaze ever since.

Crews will continue to secure the fire line and perform mop-up operations Saturday, say officials.
