COLFAX - A Clarkston woman accused of running narcotics through Whitman County with her son is headed to jail.
60-year-old Karey Romaneschi pleaded guilty to felony attempted possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in Whitman County Superior Court. Court Commissioner Doug Robinson sentenced Romaneschi to 15 days in jail on Friday.
She and her son Sheldon were arrested by the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office during a routine traffic stop along the Snake River in January. Deputies found heroin, methamphetamine and pharmaceutical grade narcotics inside the vehicle.
Sheldon Romaneschi previously pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and was sentenced to a year in jail.
