A 52-year-old former downtown Pullman businessman has been convicted by a jury of 1st degree felony child molestation.
Victor Hudak was convicted Wednesday during his jury trial in Whitman County Superior Court. The jury deliberated for a little over an hour before finding Hudak guilty. The trial started on Monday. Hudak is scheduled to be sentenced on February 17th. Whitman County Senior Deputy Prosecutor Tessa Scholl successfully prosecuted the case.
Hudak approached two girls in a Pullman park in July and grabbed an 11-year-old on her buttocks while he was helping her climb a tree. The girls quickly told their parents and recognized Hudak as “Vic” from the downtown music store. Pullman Police arrested Hudak who told them he is attracted to young girls and that his inappropriate interactions with young females had “gotten out of control.”
Hudak pleaded guilty in 2019 to misdemeanor assault with sexual motivation for groping a 14-year-old girl at his store Atom Heart Music. Whitman County District Court Commissioner Doug Robinson sentenced Hudak to three months in jail in that case.
Atom Heart Music closed after Hudak was arrested last summer. He is being held in the Whitman County Jail without bond.
