WORLEY, ID - On Wednesday, January 12, at around 5:30 p.m., the Kootenai County 911 Center received a call from a resident in the Conkling Park area stating his wife, who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease, was missing. Deputies from the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and Coeur d’ Alene Tribal Police Officers responded to the area and began looking for the female.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Search and Rescue Unit was also activated and began responding to the area.
According to a release from Kootenai County, at about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday night, Volunteer Search and Rescue K9 Handler Lindsay Halverson with K9 Birdie located the patient in the snow near the residence.
Worley medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the patient to Kootenai Health where she was treated for mild hypothermia.
