MOSCOW - This summer, Vandals Dining at the University of Idaho gifted the on-campus Vandal Food Pantry a $1,000 grant to be utilized as 100 all-you-care-to-eat meal vouchers redeemable at the Hub; UI’s resident dining destination. This grant came at a time when the Vandal family and local Moscow community have seen increased food scarcity across the board due, in part, to COVID-19 repercussions.
The Vandal Food Pantry is a campus affiliated organization that seeks to combat food scarcity among students and the local community through non-perishable food or monetary donations.
Vandal Food Pantry Program Coordinator, Amber Schneider, is enthusiastic about the donation. “In the wake of COVID-19, it is imperative we not only be sure we are doing everything we can to support our students, but the Moscow community as a whole. We are truly honored to accept this donation and look forward to partnering with Vandals Dining in the future.”
Vandals Dining understands the success of the University of Idaho students and the Moscow Community as a whole will be relying on in-kind assistance in the waking moments of COVIA-19 and is fully prepared to stand on the front lines as long as it takes to support those in need.
