MOSCOW - According to a recent memo released from University President Scott Green, the University of Idaho will carry its mask mandate into the start of the spring semester.
The University cited the high transmissibility of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 as the reason to continue the mandate. Green said the decision was not made lightly and was made with guidance from Idaho State Public Health and Gritman Medical Center.
Students, staff and visitors are required to wear masks in all university buildings on the Moscow campus. Currently there are no restrictions on gathering sizes within indoor spaces.
