Quake 7-3-20

STANLEY, ID - Smaller earthquakes continue to shake an area about 55 miles southeast of McCall, according to the United States Geological Survey. Smaller quakes are not uncommon in the region, but quakes approaching and exceeding a reading of 4.0 are somewhat rare. This morning, the area was shaken by a 3.9 magnitude quake at 6:49, and another measuring 3.8 at 6:50 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time.  Six other small quakes, ranging from a magnitude of 2.0 to 2.5 also were measured in the area in the last 24 hours.  A 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook the same region in May, and a 4.6 quake was recorded in June.
