LEWISTON, ID - Following a planned procession of law enforcement agencies and fire departments in remembrance of 9/11 this Friday, supporters are planning a rally in support of first responders at Lewiston's Pioneer Park. Organizers say the event will feature free hot dogs, a plane fly-over, root beer floats, and live music.
The event will start at 6:00 p.m. and will feature live music from Chad Bramlet and Ashton Richmond. A special fly-over by Hangar 180 is also planned during the event. Idaho Lieutenant Governor Janice McGeachin will also reportedly be in attendance.
Prior to the Pioneer Park event, a 9/11 procession through Lewiston is planned for 5:00 p.m. On Wednesday, the City of Lewiston announced that the city's police and fire agencies will not be participating in the procession due to concerns over COVID-19. The procession map is shown below.
