WEIPPE - On Friday, January 14 at approximately 5:10 a.m., the Clearwater County Sheriff's Office along with Rescue 3 responded to a reported collision involving two logging trucks near mile marker 2.5 on Highway 11.
According to a release from the CCSO, both trucks had been going in opposite directions before side swiping one another. Both drivers were said to be wearing their seatbelts, and neither was hurt in the crash.
One of the involved trucks belonged to Patrick's Trucking out of Grangeville and was being driven by 64-year-old Monty D. Baker.
The other involved truck belonged to Buck Slagle Trucking LLC and was being driven by 59-year-old Buck D. Slagle.
Both trucks had to be unloaded before leaving the scene. Buck was able to drive his truck away after getting a new tire put on. Monty's truck was recovered by Miles Towing.
