LEWISTON - Longtime hospital leader Mike Poore has been appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Poore comes to St. Joseph’s from Lutheran Health Network of Indiana where he served as Regional President and Chief Executive Officer.
Poore brings more than 30 years of healthcare operational expertise to his new role. Prior to his work with Lutheran Health Network, Poore served as the Vice President of Operations for Community Health Systems where he oversaw hospital operations for facilities in Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Virginia.
When asked about his plans for St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Poore expressed his admiration for the hospital’s 100+ year legacy of faith based mission-driven service and its “outstanding” team.
“St. Joseph’s is a pillar of the Lewis Clark Valley and surrounding region. I’m grateful for the opportunity guide the organization through this transitionary period and look forward to working closely with employees, clinicians, staff, partners and community members in the months ahead,” said Poore.
Poore also previewed plans for significant investments in facility needs and technology and his hopes to engage the community in key system initiatives over the coming weeks.
