LEWISTON - Citing to the rise in COVID19 cases in the community, the Lewiston City Library will move to offering library users materials through curbside delivery only, as well as offering computer and meeting room access by appointment only beginning Monday, November 30, 2020.
Library card holders may request materials to be picked up at the 5th Street entrance Monday through Thursday from 10:00am to 6:30pm and Friday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:30pm. Materials to be picked up must be placed on hold through the library card holder’s account at www.valnet.org, by calling the library to place a request at 208-798-2525 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Library card holders will be notified through text, email or by phone when their items are ready for pick up.
When arriving at the library, the card holder will need to call the library phone number or ring the doorbell at the 5th Street entrance to let staff know they are ready to pick up their materials. Library users are asked to follow social distancing guidelines while waiting for materials, maintaining a six foot distance between themselves, library staff and any other patrons waiting for materials.
Computer appointments and reservations for the first floor meeting room may be made by phone. For those unable to wear a mask, we request that library staff are made aware when making the reservation.
