LEWISTON - The Idaho State Department of Education has awarded $125,215.47 in federal grant funding through its Child Nutrition Programs to help 19 Idaho schools purchase new equipment for their National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs, Superintendent of Public Instruction Sherri Ybarra announced on Thursday.
Centennial Elementary of the Lewiston School District will receive $10,948 for a new dishwasher. Also included in these grants are Prairie Elementary of the Cottonwood School District and the central kitchen of the Kamiah Joint School District. Prairie Elementary will receive $5,002 for a 30Qt. mixer, and the Kamiah school district will receive $6,938.15 for an air cooled condenser unit.
