SYRINGA, ID - On Friday, January 8, 2021, at approximately 7:34am, the Idaho State Police investigated a one vehicle injury crash on US12 at milepost 89, near Syringa, ID, in Idaho County. Syringa is located approximately 17 miles from Kooskia.
According to a release from the Idaho State Police, 27-year-old David J. Parris, of Idaho Falls, ID, was driving eastbound on US12 in a Blue 1987 American Motors Jeep pickup when he lost control of the vehicle due to driving too fast for icy conditions. The vehicle went off the east side of the roadway, over an embankment, and subsequently struck a telephone pole on the drivers side.
Parris was transported by LifeFlight to St Josephs Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, ID due to injuries suffered. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
