CLARKSTON, WA - 1175 Clearwater Power members were scheduled to be without power during a Bonneville Power maintenance project on Wednesday night. The project was to improve electric service reliability at an area BPA substation. Clearwater Power announced Wednesday morning that the project has been postponed until the spring, due to weather. The outage was planned for 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday into the morning hours of Thursday. Forecasters say that's when temperatures could drop to the lowest since last winter, with most areas in the teens and 20s.
Those areas scheduled to lose power included Clearwater Power members in, or near, the Clarkston, Asotin, Rogersburg and Anatone, Washington areas. In Idaho, in the Genesee area. In Oregon, those in the Grande Ronde, Troy and Flora areas were scheduled to lose power.
