STORY UPDATE: A Funeral service will be held Monday, June 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Highland High School Gymnasium. Burial will follow at Craigmont Cemetery. 

LEWIS COUNTY - On Sunday, June 6, 2021, an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident reported near Reubens tragically took the life of a teenager. According to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Colton C. Robinson was killed in the accident. 

Out of respect for the family, no additional details have been released. Colton was an upcoming 8th grader at Highland School and played on the Junior High football and wrestling teams.

Support rooms set up for private counseling or just to have someone to talk to will be set up at Highland High School on Tuesday, June 8 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm for anyone who feels they need support during this difficult time. Highland Staff will be available for you as well as Crisis Team members from the Nezperce and Prairie School Districts to provide support for any students, parents, staff and community members.

Also on Wednesday, June 9th between 3:00pm and 7:00pm, support rooms will be available for private counseling or just to have someone to talk with, at the Winchester Library, the Reubens Gym/Community Center and Highland High School. All three locations will be available during this four hour period. We will have Highland Staff available for you as well as Crisis Team members from the Nezperce and Cottonwood School Districts to provide support for any students, parents, staff and community members. Sandwiches, snacks and drinks will be provided through the generous donation of our local WCPA.

Donation accounts have been opened at P1FCU and Cottonwood Community Federal Credit Union under Jackie Robinson.
