LEWISTON - On Tuesday, July 27 2021, at approximately 11:00pm, Lewiston Police and Medics were dispatched to a vehicle vs pedestrian collision near Jack In The Box in the 1900 block of G St.
First arriving officers found 27-year-old Racheal Paradis, of Culdesac, lying in the roadway. According to the LPD, an investigation revealed Paradis had been struck by a vehicle that had then fled the scene. Paradis was transported by ambulance to St Joseph Regional Medical Center and later transported to Spokane due to her injuries.
While on scene, 18-year-old Taylor Lawrence, of Lewiston, called and advised she was the passenger in the vehicle that had struck Paradis. This information lead to the alleged driver of the vehicle being located and identified as 21-year-old Drayven Pickett, of Lewiston.
Pickett was located and charged with Failure to Stop at the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Injury or Death, a felony. Pickett was booked into the Nez Perce County Jail.
