GRANGEVILLE – As part of a plea agreement, a Kooskia teacher has changed his plea on a felony charge of sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office, on July 7, 2023, an Idaho County Deputy took a report of an inappropriate relationship occurring between a teacher and a student at Clearwater Valley High School. The case was then referred on to the detective division for further investigation.
On October 2, 24-year-old Kammeron Mangun, of Kooskia, was arrested on an Idaho County warrant for felony attempted sexual exploitation of a child and misdemeanor disseminating material harmful to minors. The bond on the warrant was set at $250,000.
In Idaho County District Court on Monday, Mangun changed his plea to guilty on a single charge felony exploitation of a minor. He had originally pleaded not guilty on November 20. Sentencing has been set for February 26.
