Each week we shine a spotlight on animals at local shelters that are looking for their forever home.
This week’s Big Country Pets of the Week is Trudy.
Trudy
Trudy is waiting to meet her new family at the Humane Society of the Palouse. She is a 1-year-old, spayed, 48lb, fully-grown pit bull mix. Trudy is described by shelter staff as friendly, energetic, outgoing, playful, and excited.
Trudy would likely thrive in an active household. She has plenty of puppy energy left to burn and would appreciate daily opportunities to get some exercise in. Trudy is still learning basic commands and could benefit from continued training. Treats work as great motivation for this! She seems to be a big fan of people and makes new friends with ease. Since she arrived as a stray, we aren’t sure how Trudy would get along with cats or other dogs in her new home. We do require our dogs to meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption and offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to ensure a good fit for the whole family.
Those interested in getting to know Trudy should visit HSoP between 2:00-5:00 pm Monday through Saturday. The Humane Society of the Palouse is at 2019 E White Ave., Moscow, Idaho 83843. 208) 883-1166 or Information@humanesocietyofthepalouse.org
