Big Country’s Pet of the Week

Each week we shine a spotlight on animals at local shelters that are looking for their forever home.

This week’s Big Country Pets of the Week is  Hannibal.

Hannibal

Hannibal is waiting to meet his new family at the Humane Society of the Palouse.  Hannibal is a 10 years old, Jack Russel terrier mix. He is around 13 lbs and neutered. Described by shelter staff as sweet, affectionate, loving, talkative, and a little stubborn.

Hannibal would do best in a home where he can spend lots of quality time with his people. Hannibal arrived at HSoP after his owner unfortunately passed away, and he’d appreciate a calm and loving space to live out his golden years. Hannibal absolutely loves to be pet, scratched, and held, so quality time with his people is very important to him. We think he would make an excellent lap dog! He has a tendency to bark when he wants attention but is always soothed with some pets. Hannibal recently underwent an extensive dental, and his teeth now look great! He’s a wonderful little guy with a lot of love to give, and is hoping to find his new home very soon. Anyone interested in getting to know Hannibal should visit HSoP between 2:00-5:00pm Monday through Saturday.
