2023 Idaho Boys State Tournaments Day 1: Lapwai & Kendrick Both Earn Victories, Advance to Semifinals

IDAHO – The 2023 Idaho Boys State Basketball tournaments tipped-off in southern Idaho on Thursday, with local teams well represented in the 1AD1 and 1AD2 classifications.

Lapwai (1AD1), Potlatch (1AD1), Kendrick (1AD2) and Timberline (1AD2) all started the day with state championship aspirations, however as is the nature of the game, some of those dreams came to an abrupt end in Thursday’s quarterfinal round.

Advancing to the semifinal round with Thursday victories were the Lapwai Wildcats (1AD1) and the Kendrick Tigers (1AD2), while the Potlatch Loggers (1AD1) and Timberline Spartans (1AD2) dropped their respective matchups.
