LEWISTON – The Lewiston School District reports that the annual Fill The Bus Food Drive was again a success this year.
The total for this year was just a few pounds shy of 7.5 tons, according to the district. 14,945 pounds of food was collected for the Community Action Food Bank and the Salvation Army.
The drive takes place at multiple Lewiston School District schools each holiday season.
The school district thanked volunteer personnel from maintenance, bus drivers, transportation workers, and student leadership groups. Theresa DuChemin and Cheyenne Gregg led this year’s campaign.
